Brewing madly together since 2007
The Mad Zymurgists are a homebrew club in the Tri-Valley area of Northern California: Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, San Ramon, Danville, and everywhere in between. Beer, cider, mead, and the science of fermentation, shared over a pint.

Who we are
A club for anyone who ferments, or wants to start
Our members range from first-batch beginners to BJCP judges and professional brewers, and every level is welcome. Bring your latest brew to a meeting and get honest, friendly feedback. We are 21 and over, and guests are always invited.

Beer social, every meeting
Every meeting opens with 30 minutes of sharing homebrew and conversation. Qualified BJCP judges are on hand if you want structured feedback on your beer.
Competitions
We enter and organize local and national homebrew competitions, including the Oaktoberfest homebrew competition, and host regional judging for the National Homebrew Competition.
Learn the craft
Guest speakers, brewing experiments, recipe formulation, beer cloning, and group brew days that help extract brewers make the jump to all-grain.
Beyond the kettle
Brewery visits, bus trips, tastings, a December holiday party, and a regular booth at the Northern California Homebrewers' Festival.
