DESCRIPTION:Our first meeting of 2023 will be held TONIGHT Thursday 1/12 at Pennyweight Brewing in Livermore. Hoppy hour starts at 6:30\, upstairs lounge area\, with the official meeting starting at 7pm. \nAgenda includes:\n– Brewing Style (Stouts) Sample and discussion\n– 2023 Club Officer nominations\n– HomebrewCon (June\, San Diego)\n– Club Glassware (available at the meeting) \n\n\n\nOther topics: \n\nOfficer Nominations for the March vote. All positions are open!!! Lets get a new team going\nClub shirts are on order. We ordered extra for folks who see those awesome shirts and want to buy one.\nMorgan Cup is coming up in Feb. Peter and Brian will discuss at the meeting.\nBeer Judging 101 coming up in Feb. Brian to discuss\nSF Beer Week is in Feb. Meet ups any interest?\nDouble IPA Fest at the Bistro is in Feb. Easy way to taste Pliny…and many other great triple and double IPAs. Uber home!\nClub Brew Competition starts up again in March meeting. Club members only\n2023 Club annual dues remain $25. Pay Tony or go only on the club website to pay\n\n\n\n\n\nHomebrewCon will be in San Diego this year. A few of us are headed down there to sample the local breweries and pour some taps of our own Mad Z creations.

SUMMARY:Club Meeting @ Shadow Puppet Brewery
DESCRIPTION:April Club Meeting 4/13 will be held at Shadow Puppet Brewery. Brian Cooper will be comparing a Cold IPA style. \nThe Bay Area Brew Off (BABO) Comp is open for entries. This is the comp that displays winning bottles at the Alameda County Fair. It would be great to see some Mad Zs with winning ribbons on their bottles. Entries are only $3!. Due 4/13 at Morebeer San Leandro or 4/15 if you drop off at the Alameda County Fair building while they do the sort. \nEntry Guide \nIf you’re available to sort bottles on 4/15 I’m sure the Draught Board Club would appreciate the help. If you’re a beer judge they will need help in early May. \nBABO also has a label competition. Show off those graphic skills creating a fun label for your brew. Brew is not required for the label comp. You can submit an empty bottle with your label. This is only $3 entry fee too. \nThe Livermore Valley Craft Brew Festival is on 5/13. Our club will be hosting a pouring station at the event. This year we’re out on the Las Positas College sports field. If you donate a keg\, you get in for free. This is a great event that we’ve participated in for the last 6 years (every year) This is also an opportunity to see many of our friends and neighbors sharing our awesome brews. We have honestly been a festival favorite and we want to keep it going! Preliminary Googlesheet tracking keg signups. \nNew officers have officially been elected!
